17 Weeks
How far along? 17 Weeks (size of a turnip, a naval orange, or your palm)
Maternity Clothes? Still just the unbutton pants. It's just so much more comfy with the round ligament pains I've had.
Sleep? It's actually feeling like I sleep longer and toss and turn less. It's been nice.
Best moment of the week: Putting our announcement up and seeing the difference between 7 and 17 weeks (whoa! There's a real bump there!)
Miss Anything? The round ligament pains could go away, but other than that, I've been good.
Movement: Feeling more squirming. I've read blogs of others who felt more between 17 and 18 weeks so hopefully we feel some more soon.
Cravings/Aversions: I'll pretty much eat anything at this point. I kind of want tuna pretty bad. Luckily I was given the green light on that so I'll probably have it for lunch next week.
Gender: We'll know in a month! The predictor I've chosen is about cravings, which I haven't had. I've had to have mints and applesauce to not throw up in the beginning. I also didn't mind candy or chips. So I'm kind of 50/50 on this, but I'll go with sweets since they helped the nausea and so that says girl.
Labor Signs: Not even close and I hope to keep it that way.
Symptoms: hunger, peeing, stretching pains.
Moods: I cry easier, but that's about it.
Looking forward to: Finding out gender and feeling more movements! Yay!

Thanksgiving 2016
Thanksgiving this year was a great one! Probably one of the best Thanksgivings I've had in a while. Since we already spent time with my family we decided to just to go with Larry's family this year and do dinner with them. I was excited because they were the last ones we had to tell about BB and then I could finally put the announcement out there in the real world.
Unfortunately, Jena and Skyler couldn't be there so we had to send them a text instead, but everyone was still really excited for us. It's so fun to just talk pregnancy stuff freely with people and Marie seemed super excited to be a grandma again. The food was really good too and since I'm finally not feeling sick and like I can eat a little more it's the best time for me (especially around a holiday where you're supposed to eat all the time haha)!
We didn't end up staying too late there just because I get tired so much earlier these days, but it was still so much fun seeing more family and having the news out there. I love how excited people are for us and how much support we have with our families.
Today I got to finally put up our announcement:
Isn't it the cutest? I was so excited to get it put together. I had a few different ideas of what I wanted to do, but when I got this put together I knew it was perfect for us! Larry wanted to wait until we knew the gender, but with how big I'm getting and since everyone knows I was worried it would be leaked at some point so I talked him into being okay with me putting it up online. It has gotten some great reactions. I'm a bit more nervous than I thought I'd be, having it official. It's made me realize I'm okay if things aren't as publicized in our lives as I had originally thought I wanted. I like keeping it to ourselves or texting those close to us with information and news. But I'll still share some things with the world, it might be how certain people out there might see things (like grandparents or more distant relatives).
I can't believe we have less than a month until we know if BB is a he or a she. I'm feeling so strongly towards he so I think that's what BB will end up being. Every name or nursery idea is all boy so I'll be in trouble if he is actually a she haha. I just can't wait to get to Christmas and get to celebrate more. The holidays are the best time, and now that Thanksgiving is done with I can start bingeing all my Christmas movies and shows :)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'm definitely thankful for my family this year, I hope everyone is having as great of a time with the holidays as I am. Now to enjoy the next two days I have off and get ready to sign on the closing of our condo!!

One of My Favorite Times of the Year
It's the time of year my mom comes for a visit. Being pregnant this visit was more exciting for me! I couldn't wait to show off my belly to my mom and share it with her. Plus I was finally starting to feel better so I was excited for that as well! Here's a breakdown of the visit.
Friday:
-We had plans to do a ghost tour with my mom, Will, Andy, and his girlfriend. Turns out Andy couldn't go and Mom and Will had car troubles on their way up (surprise, surprise haha) and so they didn't get in till much later. We couldn't find anyone to take the tickets so we just skipped it. We ended up spending the few hours before bed at Grandma's eating pizza and visiting for a while. Mom got too excited so I let her shared our baby news with Grandma. She was really excited for us. The more people we tell the more happy I get about it. It's nice to just be open about it now :)
It doesn't sound like an eventful night, but it was fun for us. Plus it was just the beginning of the visit!
Saturday:
-Cindy was throwing a joint birthday party for Abby and Olivia so we headed up there. I was going to be quiet about the baby news since I felt like it should be their day and not mine, but once I showed Cindy the picture of the ultrasound she got too excited and the news spread faster than I could control it. Anna and Abby were super thrilled and kept saying BB should be a girl. We were joking that we had enough girls in the family and we could use more boys haha. They were all mentioning it was funny I had a belly already (but I've been looking forward to having one so I embrace it!)
After the birthday party we went to dinner at Susan's. I was sad because we found out Susan retired and sold the business to another family. The food was still good, but we went to catch up with our old family friend. I was excited to tell her about the baby too, but I didn't get that chance. It was also the night that mom and Will met Rachel so it was a good night. We ate way too much and just enjoyed visiting more.
Sunday:
-Sunday I met up with Mom and Will at Target and we headed up to Heber to visit with Shawn and Amber and the babies. They got a new home that's so cute and Amber is just a little past halfway with her pregnancy with baby #3 (another boy). Their kids were so funny and cute (when they weren't throwing toys at us haha). I ended up telling them the news too and they were both so excited for Larry and me. It was fun to compare pregnancy stuff with Amber too.
After visiting for a bit we went out to eat lunch, a place called The Hub, and then headed back to the house so that Mom and Will could give them their gifts. I felt bad because I wanted to give the kids a hug good bye but I was so exhausted and can't bend over as easily these days so I just said bye and left with them. I'll have to make it up next time I see them.
It was so cold and dark after we left that I just went home to hang out with Larry for the rest of the night. I wanted to get as much time with Mom and Will while they were here, but we needed to go grocery shopping and I needed to get some laundry done so that was that for Sunday.
Monday:
-Monday was awesome because we finally got to show off our house to Mom and Will. I am so used to the home at this point, but seeing it through new eyes is always exciting. They seemed to love it, they mentioned we made good decisions and wanted our garage. I can't wait to get it put more together though. Then we can really show it off some.
After the house tour and talking for a bit we headed to Cabela's to walk around there. I love Cabela's, not to visit regularly, but it's still fun to go walk around and get ideas for some fun hobbies.
After Cabela's we went to Grandma's for our Faux-Giving. Since mom was leaving Thanksgiving morning we still wanted to do a family dinner. Unfortunately since it was on Monday night it was just us, Mom, Will, and Grandma. The food was so good and we ate so much again. It was a great night spent with fun people. I love just sitting around and visiting with my family!
Tuesday:
-I started this day early at my doctor appointment. It was just a quick appointment so I went by myself real quick then headed over to Southtowne Mall to walk around with Mom and Grandma. We didn't have a plan for the mall, just to walk around and see what we see. We're girls that way haha. I did find some sweaters I was obsessed with and would probably want to get (I need bigger ones to help cover my unbutton pants and to grow with me since I'm outgrowing my shirts right now).
After the mall we went to Los Cucos for lunch (a favorite of Grandma's) and then to Gardner Village. I love going through their shops. Especially the bedding shops. It makes me excited to put more stuff for the house together. While we did that the guys (Andy, Larry, and Will went shooting so they got some guy time and didn't have to be dragged around doing girlie things haha). I also got some great news on the way to Gardner Village - our condo is officially closing on Monday! Best news I could've gotten this whole time!
I was starting to feel sick that day so I wasn't up to doing too much and I'm officially getting to the point where my back starts to kill after walking too much so we went back to Grandma's after that. We had a quick dinner and then met up with the guys to head to TSO (Trans Siberian Orchestra). It was such a cool show, but the night was really cold and the seats got uncomfortable after a while. I ended up standing in the doorway area so that I could get off my butt for a second. The lasers and music were so cool though! I've never seen a show like that and they have so many players involved, it's pretty amazing how they coordinate it.
We left TSO so late it was definitely bed time...I've never been so tired before haha.
Wednesday:
-Our last day was bitter sweet. We met up with Cindy and went to lunch at Zupas (a favorite of ours). We then headed over to Fashion Place to walk around there. Another fun day of visiting, only we had Cindy and Anna with us this time. Anna was obsessed with rubbing my belly and saying BB was going to be a girl. She's so silly.
After the mall we went back to Grandma's to visit for a while again. Somehow the day got away from me and we were there so late. The snow started coming down like crazy so I asked Andy if he'd give me a ride home (Larry was home making Cheesecakes for Thanksgiving dinner with his family tonight). We didn't want to drive in the snow so we ended up staying pretty late.
Saying goodbye is my least favorite part of these visits! It always feels like they go so fast and we have so much fun. I'm glad they got to come out though. Plus now that she's going home they get to go find a new puppy for their house and I'm so excited for them. Besides we were talking about having them come out once BB is born so I'll have that to look forward to (aside from BB actually being here haha). I love my family and these visits make me remember that even more.
Mall walking again, Zupas, saying good bye

16 weeks
How far along? 16 Weeks (an avocado)
Maternity Clothes? Still just the unbutton pants. But my mom got me some belly bands. Once I feel I can have tighter items around my abdomen I'll be excited to wear those!
Sleep? Same as always
Best moment of the week: Having my mom here, having a faux giving and eating lots of food, seeing TSO, announcing to the family about the baby news, walking malls, Buy Buy Baby, and Cabelas, and showing off the house. Basically it's been one of the best weeks. Also, had my 16 week appointment yesterday and got to make the big one...set for the 21st!
Miss Anything? Well, we did a lot of walking and I'm to the point where it hurts my back to walk too much...but I'm not even that big, so that's probably going to suck in the next couple of months. Also, I got my first cold and so it's been REALLY hard to breath.
Movement: I felt little squirms this week...I remember on Sunday when we were eating with Shawn & Amber just sitting there and feeling something. Then on Tuesday when grandma, mom, and I went to Gardner Village I felt that thing where I can tell whatever the baby is in is moving around the baby. That was crazy. But nothing since then.
Cravings/Aversions: Nope, I think I'm back to eating anything again...yay!
Gender: We have the appointment set for the 21st of December and then we'll be doing a reveal on Skype on Christmas. So we won't know until that day. The predictor I've chosen is dry or soft skin. I've had the craziest dry skin this whole time, which says boy!
Labor Signs: Not even close and I hope to keep it that way.
Symptoms: Thirst, hunger, round ligament pains, leg cramps at night, and a lot of peeing. Oh and painful back when walking around too much.
Moods: Exhaustion. I loved going out with my family, but man I cannot keep up anymore haha.
Looking forward to: Thanksgiving with Larry's family tomorrow so we can tell them the news. Then I'll be doing our announcement on Facebook. Yay!
Nov 16, 2016
15 Weeks
How far along? 15 Weeks (an apple...figures since I'm sick of applesauce now)
Maternity Clothes? Still just the unbutton pants.
Sleep? Same as always
Best moment of the week: I think I might be getting over the sickness. I haven't thrown up in a little while now and I've found as long as I snack I usually feel okay.
Miss Anything? Not really at this point. Sickness is gone, SCH should be good, everything is feeling right right now. Although it'd be nice if I could sleep without the kitties cutting me off.
Movement: Still little squirms once in a while. It hits at the most random points, but I love it.
Cravings/Aversions: I like bread items after eating easy mac during the week haha. But I'm thinking I might go back to regular foods soon...I'm feeling much better.
Gender: I'll be making that appointment next week...can't wait! Starting to get ideas of how to do our gender reveal. The predictor is morning sickness...which has just recently subsided. This says girl
Labor Signs: Not even close and I hope to keep it that way.
Symptoms: hunger, round ligament pains, leg cramps at night, and needing to pee a lot more. I'm also liking water now so I drink a lot more than I used to.
Moods: Just wanting to sleep all the time so no time for moods anymore haha. Although I've found myself tearing up when I can't play with the kitties like I used to. But I let them cuddle with me all night so that should be fine.
Looking forward to: My mom comes in this week and Thanksgiving is next week..I can't wait for all the food!
Nov 9, 2016
14 Weeks
How far along? 14 Weeks (a lemon...apparently that's bigger than lime?)
Maternity Clothes? Still just the unbutton pants.
Sleep? Same as always
Best moment of the week: We're in the second trimester officially today! That makes me pretty excited since it's a big milestone for us!
Miss Anything? Just wishing I could eat as much as I could before. Also, now that we're in the second trimester I'm hoping my sickness goes away soon.
Movement: Just little squirming every few days. Nothing big or too noticeable. It is pretty fun though.
Cravings/Aversions: Nope. Although one night I really wanted to wake Larry up to see if he'd go get me food, but I wasn't craving anything. Then I thought the breadsticks sounded good (which I haven't wanted in forever) and so the next day I had to have them at work haha.
Gender: The predictor of choice is complexion...I hardly break out and pregnancy hasn't changed that. This says boy!
Labor Signs: Not even close and I hope to keep it that way.
Symptoms: Sickness, sleep, hunger, round ligament pains, leg cramps at night every once in a while, and I'm starting to need to pee more often.
Moods: Couch Potato for life still
Looking forward to: Still more movements and seeing my mom in a few weeks :) :) :)
Nov 2, 2016
13 Weeks
How far along? 13 Weeks (aww...a peapod, or kiwi, whichever you prefer)
Maternity Clothes? Still just the unbutton pants.
Sleep? Same as always
Best moment of the week: We got an ultrasound on the 31st (Halloween) and they said the SCH is clearing up and we didn't have to schedule anymore ultrasounds anymore!! I'm sad we don't get to see the baby as much, but it's so good knowing that's on it's way out, finally! Also, see my answer below on the movement section
Look how alien-like BB looks |
Movement: I thought I felt something yesterday morning (like at 3 AM) and then tonight I definitely felt squirming. I told Larry so he came into the living room and pushed on my belly and I could feel that whatever the baby was in was moving around. It was REALLY the most exciting thing so far!
Cravings/Aversions: I've decided after the baby is here I'm having a lunch meat sandwich AND sushi! I've made plans with Larry on how this is happening and I couldn't be more excited for that haha.
Gender: Having dreams of both at this point...wonder what that means haha. This gender predictor is the Chinese Gender chart...which says boy. Larry hates relying on the calendar, but it's a result we both want so I'm good with that :)
Labor Signs: Not even close and I hope to keep it that way.
Symptoms: Sickness, sleep, hunger, and I'm starting to need to pee more often.
Moods: Couch Potato for life right hurr!
Looking forward to: More movements...and my mom's visit! She'll be here the week before Thanksgiving and I'm SO excited to see her. We'll also announce to our families then.
