*~*Day 3*~*

My job:
I work at Utah First Credit Union, a typical teller job. What can I really say about the job itself? I can say I'm really happy to be here. When I worked at Alert, my old job, I always complained about it, I dreaded going in everyday, it was a really easy job, but I knew it wasn't what I wanted to do, I'd threaten to quit all the time, but I never did end up leaving on my own, it ended up going out of business. I worked there for 2 1/2 years and it felt like 5. Here, at the credit union, I've been here a little over a year and it's felt like maybe half that. I don't ever dread going to work, I feel I'm getting a bit of my work ethic that I lost back. I really like the people I work with now, they will talk about anything pretty much, we laugh all day long here. I feel I've gotten some good friends and they've really helped me come out of my shell a bit.

I always thought it would be cool to work at a bank/credit union, I don't know why, but it is pretty cool. Not like how I expected at all, really, but there's just something different about it. It has helped me make goals for myself. It's been here that helped me decide to take those Medical Coding and Billing classes, to get into a job more related to my field, it's here that's really shown me to work for what I want too. I'll really miss not working with these people when I leave, but I have a feeling I'll still be talking to some of them on a pretty regular basis.

Just some pictures from the job:

Halloween 2010, they made me dress up :P

We get bored sometimes :)

*~*Day 2*~*

15 Facts:

1-I actually LOVE to plan everything, even if I get stressed, it's a good stress for me.

2-My biggest dream would be to watch a movie being filmed from start to finish, watch all the editing, watch the acting, see what it's like to really put yourself in the scene, everything about it would amaze me. I doubt I'll ever get to do this, but it would be remarkable if I could.

3-I would love to move to Italy one day. Ever since I saw the movie Under the Tuscan Sun I've been completely obsessed with Italy!

4-I would love to travel the world, I'll probably wait till we retire and do an RV tour across America. I just love going to new places and trying new things.

5-Not that anyone I know doesn't know this about me, but I'm also obsessed with movies. Larry and I combined have about 800 DVDs NOT including our TV shows that we have separated from our movies.

6-I LOVE Spring time most of all. I find myself getting all giddy and starting to plan way more than I can handle then because I believe there's all sorts of possibilities to be had once Spring starts ha ha.
7-My absolute favorite hobby is facebook/blog stalking. I love reading about other people's lives, they could be completely boring, but more often than not I'll want to read EVERY moment of it.

8-I'm way too much of an open book, ask me anything and you'll pretty much get an answer, opinion, or random thought with it. I want to change this.

9-I absolutely love to make people laugh, but I HATE being in the spotlight or have any attention on me whatsoever.

10-I'm a roller coaster junkie! My goal is to ride the tallest one in the world (currently the Kingda Ka in New Jersey) because it'd be the scariest but most exciting thing I've ever done!

11- I would LOVE to meet someone with Dissociative Identity Disorder/Multiple Personality Disorder or a Schizophrenic. I am completely fascinated by these disorders and how one would "cope" with them, so to speak.

12-I hope to be able to say I know more than one language, but fluently not just some phrases. I'm hoping it'll be Italian soon, but I still need to start this.

13-I love my family more than words can say. They are the reason I am who I am today. I hope to raise my kids the same way and around the same kinds of people. I've made some dumb choices in life, but I know how to make it right again because of them and I look for their approval in everything I've ever done or will ever do.

14-My favorite flowers are Orchids, Tulips or these Lilies

15-I probably know 75% of all lines from Friends, the show, which I love to say at random moments. I'm pretty sure there's only one other person out there who can do that with me, my friend Stacey :)

So that's me in 15 facts! Until Day 3...

*~*Day 1*~*

So today is officially day one of the new challenge: Post a picture of yourself and a description of your day

So this was technically done last night, but it's as close as you're going to get to me currently ha ha.

I have to say my day today was pretty good. I started it off thinking I'd have nothing to really post about, but as the day went on it got better. I just did my normal morning routine of getting up, going to class, coming home, get ready for work, leave for work. Super exciting! I have to say though, it's the first sunny day in a while, there was no snow, and it was REALLY warm! Those are my favorite kind of days, I can listen to my IPod in the car, pick songs I can sing real loud to and I know it's an amazing day!

Larry and I made a deal we'd read 2 of each other's books, he finished mine within 3 weeks. I, however, am still reading his 2nd one, but it's pretty good and I made myself a little reading schedule to make sure it's done this month, I'm all about schedules, and this book is actually pretty good (For those techies out there the first is called Daemon by Daniel Suarez, this sequel is Freedom, it's a pretty cool concept basically about a game designer taking over the world, after he dies, through his own games). Then tonight I signed up for this "Look Better Naked" program online, I'm REALLY excited for that, I can't start it till this weekend because you have to go shopping for food and this Friday is payday, but I'm really looking forward to having some direction to my getting in shape goals this year.

Now I'm home and I get to relax for a few hours before getting back up and starting my workday all over again! But every night I get to look forward to watching Firefly with Larry, which I love our nights we watch our shows together and throw our computers, phones, etc. off to the side until we're ready for bed. Ah!

Until Day 2...

So not sure if you've heard, but this is apparently the new thing to do, I know I've been seeing a few of these around. Everyone seems to be doing this "30-Day Blog Challenge," some call it a Facebook Challenge, I like the Blog one though. I noticed some were a bit different than others, so I (along with Chontae at work) decided we'd kind of create our own list of the 30 topics from the others we'd seen. I'm really excited to start this and have something to post every day for March, seeing as how February didn't get too much action ha ha.

Quick Catch Up...

Wow, we're already past a month of the new year! I used to think time went by so slow back when I was in elementary school. I thought it'd take forever to get to my Summer vacation time. I remember the first year, 8th grade, when I realized how fast the year actually went. It's crazy.

This year has definitely been a bit challenging so far, but I can say I've never been more motivated to not let it get me down! It's been hard not knowing what's happening with the military and Larry's back. In case you don't know, while Larry was away in the military he hurt his back pretty bad and has been unable to basically function. He's been on pain meds, done physical therapy, and he still grunts like an old man when he gets out of bed or lifts pretty much anything. He's been on profile (where they can't do any PT tests or anything like that) for about 10 months now, been in and out of dr's offices, and has even had an MRI done to see what's happening. We have found out he has degenerative discs in his lower back, pretty much untreatable except with some pretty serious surgery, so now we have to find out what the military is going to do with him. Originally they were going to have him do this Airborn training where they learn to jump out of planes, but his back won't allow that, so we don't know what they have planned for him, and this has been going on for almost a year now so it's been really hard not knowing what to plan for. And now this house situation, we don't know if we're selling, going to try and keep it, if it'll end up in foreclosure, anything! It's just so frustrating not knowing, and me being the control freak I am makes it even harder.

But the good news is I've been able to keep up with my classes this semester, I'm so excited to go into Math each week because of how crazy the teacher is, he makes math kind of fun/funny. I tell myself each and every day to remember my goals this year; I've been able to keep up with my budget so far, we're hopefully going to be able to take our vacation this year if things go right, I've even started going to spinning with no excuses to skip! Larry has been practicing his Texas Hold 'Em so when we go to Vegas he can try and win us some money ha ha. It's been something he really enjoys doing each night, I will say he is getting a lot of practice hours in too.

So far that's all we know, I'm hoping in a couple months we'll have better direction going, but we'll see what life brings us :)
