If you don't hear from us for a little while...

It's because WE'RE MOVING!!!! I'm so excited to finally be able to say without any doubts that we are officially in! We signed on the place on Wednesday night, we moved half of the boxes into it today and also got the big things (at least 90% of them) onto the moving truck for final move day tomorrow night! We're so lucky to have such a helping family (granted I'm sure most of their enthusiasm is that we'll be helping them move again soon so really they are just earning their "you owe us" points), they were SO extremely helpful tonight and I'm so excited to show the place off!
When we signed papers last night we went over to check it out and see what we finally accomplished and I started getting so many ideas of what I wanted to do to spruce it up and really make it ours-I can't wait!
I will be posting pictures up here once we get in and settled, but that might be a while. We finish moving IN Friday, Saturday and Sunday I'll be visiting my friend in Idaho, then next week we'll finally get to unpack and organize and get things all set up. I don't think I've been this excited in a long time (minus when we got engaged-that was probably my top moment!).
Although Thursday I should be having a hair-makeup consultation with someone I am considering for our engagements-which will be August 24th :) We're getting so much done with everything, I'm so happy to be able to cross a bunch off the list!

So until we're in and get everything settled....adios amigos!

...Make that three weeks...

So we were supposed to close on the condo today, but turns out the HOA took their sweet time getting some questionnaire back to the credit union, so now we have to wait till they can lock in our rate with Utah Housing....boy getting a place sure takes a long, long time. Enough to drive you crazy! The good news about it is our rate has dropped a bit since we first started this process and now we'll be paying less each month, so I guess it is kind of good we were forced to wait. They did say we should be good to go on Wednesday so if that's the case we're going to try and cram all the moving into Friday night :)
The only sucky part about that is that's the weekend I'm supposed to go up to Idaho to visit my friend Stace and her son, Oliver, so I won't get a chance to unpack really until I get back from that on Sunday. But I'm so excited for this trip! Her son is so adorable and he's got such a silly personality! It's fun to play with him and even though I don't get to see them very often he always seems to smile when he sees me, which always makes me feel good! We also might go to this bear world they have close to their house, and I'm a sucker for bears so it'll be great.
Larry has drill the whole rest of this month, which means we won't ever know when he'll be home by so moving with that knowledge will be quite the treat, he'll get the first real weekend in our new place all to himself, I'm kind of jealous, but I'll get the next weekend so it evens out a bit.
Anyway...we've reached a year mark until our big wedding day! So excited! I also think we may have found a wedding photographer. That was a nice, stressful feat. We have a meeting with someone on Tuesday (IF Larry can even go at this point), but I talked to another lady last night and I really like her package options, so if the Tuesday people can't blow her out of the water then we'll probably go with her. I'm excited, the photos are the most important part to me because they are the thing to make all the memories of such an amazing day last! She'll even do videography if we want, I'm still debating on that! I'm hoping we'll be able to do our engagements at the end of August (after Jena and Skyler's wedding, naturally) so that we can still get some pretty shots in them, so fingers crossed on that!
Other than that everything is going pretty good, we have gotten a lot of packing done this past week and I even did this week and next weeks homework for my class so that I can focus on this stuff without having too much to get done, I might use this weekend (now that it's been blown WIDE open) to get caught up on a couple more weeks in case we don't get Internet right away in the new place. These are the things you don't think about all the time! So until we're actually in the place and I can get excited enough to post about that...onto my now-not-so-busy weekend! Happy Friday everyone!

Bursting at the seams!

I believe my bonus mom, Tracy, put it best when she text me today saying something about jumping out of my skin with excitement (she calls me her bonus daughter and step-mom just has too ugly of a history to put to her, she's too cool for such a label!). Things are going so great it's just not even funny! We should be signing on our condo this Friday, I can't believe we're THIS close. I knew we loved it and really wanted it, but part of me expected it would somehow go wrong, just like the other places we liked, so I'm very shocked, excited, and a little nervous that this is really happening! I can't even begin to explain how much I can't wait to take pictures and post them up here. We just barely started packing today, but we got our books, movies, and that random misc. crap you can't ever seem to figure out where it should go all packed up, so I think we're doing good so far!
We also booked our reception/ceremony location today, which means we have an official date: June 15, 2013! Now, for anyone who doesn't know, I'm a number freak so of course this had to be a special date for us, and it is, I've had it picked pretty much since last October. The reason I picked this is our current anniversary is 10/15, my favorite number is 5, his is 3, if you multiply it's 15 (this is OUR lucky number, I know it's probably weird to have a couple favorite number, but it fits us!). Now 5*2 is 10 (our current month), 3*2 is 6 (our new anniversary month), that's how I got it, so, ta-da you now know how much of a freak I am! I'm happy though. Anyways, back to the center, we decided on Millennial Falls, it's so pretty, and big bonus: they do EVERYTHING! The cake, invitations, flowers, food, place settings, serving, just everything. The ONLY things we have to worry about is photographer, our "clothes", and an officiant. I love that this will be so much easier than trying to coordinate so many people into one place! We almost ran out of luck though, when they checked the date they said it was booked for the later time they have, but they still had morning open. I wasn't too happy with morning at first because that means we have to get ready uber early, but then I realized it'll be over and done with early and Larry and I can go off somewhere and just enjoy being married for a few hours! I like this idea, plus I'm a morning person, so it's not a huge deal to make sure I'm up on time. So in the end, I'm happy with it.
I am also loving the new job, it's so incredible to have a position like this, it's easy, I'm always busy, and the people I work with are so funny! I, of course, miss most of my Utah First co workers, but it's not like I never talk to them or anything.
So like I stated, things are going so great, and I sure hope they continue on this path. I still need good luck with finding a photographer and scheduling that stuff. Between Jena's and Skyler's wedding, my school this semester, moving, and now our wedding things get full so fast! I also wanted to do just regular family pictures of just Larry and me for the sake of having good pictures that aren't wedding related, but we'll see if I ever get a chance to do that :)
So until I find more to go on and on about (which lately, isn't too hard to do :P) it's time for this lady to go to bed!

Two More Weeks!

So it's a bit more official now, but in about two more weeks we will be in our first home! I'm so excited about it. I have no way to post pictures of it here yet, but once we get into it I'll be taking plenty of them. So far we've signed and had the purchase contract accepted, we had the appraisal done, and we've found a title and insurance company. Because I just started my new job, they had to wait till I was on the job 30 days to verify employment/income information, which they'll be doing on the 7th of this month. We already have the earnest money sent off and once they get the verification they'll just have to send it all to the underwriting "crew" and then we get to go sign at the title company! I'm so stoked and cannot wait to be in our own place!
This month is going to be so hectic though, between Skyler/Jena's wedding plans, moving into the condo, our own wedding stuff, plus adding my school that starts tomorrow and the fact that Larry will have his drill from the 13th to the end of the month, we have A LOT to squeeze in within the next few weeks!
We've only just started talking some wedding stuff, but we'll be looking at reception centers on the 9th, I figure once we have that picked out that's a HUGE thing off the list and that'll help us with other budget stuff and things we need to look into. It's hard for me to just sit and wait before I can plan anything, but I have to. Luckily house stuff has distracted us me for the most part. Today we went out looking at dishes, silverware, and glasses, because those are the only house things that we'll need immediately that we don't have yet, at least I think that's the only stuff. We have found I am VERY picky with dishes and their design, while Larry is picky with color and material-we're an awesome match! It's good though, this gives us ideas of what to register for, even though we'll be in our home a year before our wedding, we'll probably just get the minimum for now and then register for more or some other fun things for the wedding. Silverware was much easier to find one we both liked and glasses we kind of forgot about, but we'll figure that out next weekend.
I'm sure this is all very boring to anyone else, but I'm more than happy to just go on and on about it :) it's my first home and I want it all to be just right. I found a China set I wanted, not knowing it was China or how expensive it is, but I still plan on getting some just to have for if we have people over for dinner, which now that we've found a cute place I might be doing a lot of. I also can't wait to try out the pool and gym room, ah! I think I'm finally to the point where everything in my life is just right and I'm even more excited about moving forward, if only I didn't have to keep waiting for that.
So until next time...which will probably be after we move and I can post pictures ;)
