6 Months (weeks 23 - 27)

Compare/Contrast: Just like before, I'm VERY much missing foods I can't have (mostly sandwiches - I want ALL the sandwiches right now, but also sushi!). I also have baby brain really bad this time around. I'm very much emotional too. I watched Crazy Rich Asians and cried when she broke up with him because I thought that was such a sad way to find out the truth about your dad...I assume that's why I was crying. I'm not fully sure, I just was crying all of a sudden haha.

Heartburn hasn't been as bad this time around. I bought two things of Tums expecting a lot, but I've only had to resort to it a few times so far.

Oh and sleeping on my back - I miss that at this point like I usually do. Sometimes I'll set a 5 minute timer on my fitbit and lay straight back to just relax for a minute without falling asleep. Those have been nice little breaks. Ice cream is a craving that I seem to have all pregnancies so I've been wanting that a lot haha.

I think I have even more false naivety where I feel so much more prepared - emotionally speaking - for this postpartum time. But I said that last time and that one was also a whirlwind haha.

I really do think this might be my easiest pregnancy *knocks on wood*, I'm not in as much pain this time. My back gets sore (nothing my little back massager can't help with), but no belly pains, no PGP; I even sometimes forget I'm pregnant. Though I'm terrified to see where my ab muscles are going to be at the end of this (sometimes I'll tighten them at random moments just to see how they feel...one time it got her to move a bit haha). I've definitely been a lot more active this time around, I'm able to clean and organize more and I'm not as lazy haha.

I'm definitely getting amped up for my postpartum period, which is probably normal for this point, but I'm starting to make goals for when it comes (I'm SO glad it'll be Summer).

Best Moments This Month: Getting to 24 weeks - the week of viability! Means such good things from here on out. Also, had an appointment with a dr to go over VBAC info. That was kinda scary, but just really informative and it makes me feel better about giving birth this time around. It also helped to get my questions answered (what to do if my placenta is by my scar and I need another c-section and if they think I'll make it to my due date since I've been induced twice - the answer is I most likely will make it - yay!)

Getting so much decluttering done! Nesting mode is VERY strong this time around and I'm so glad I feel good enough to get this much done. The house is starting to look really good. This even included pulling our bins of newborn, 0-3 month, 3, and 3-6 month clothes to the top of our stack so I can get those cleaned and ready for her arrival

Of course, movie date nights. We had to stop for a while in the beginning of this because of being SO sick and I know they probably won't happen too much after she's here, so I'm soaking them in right now!

I also ordered the bedding for this lady (mermaid theme!), so now that we have that and her coming home outfit and we're not getting her a new bed (we're just getting Cara and Gwen a bunk bed for when they share a room) and we have a million newborn diapers we're pretty set for her arrival already. I still need to clean things and get the bassinet in place (it's still in our room from Gwen, but got moved to a different side of it), but we're much more ahead than normal.

What I'm Looking Forward To: Getting further into this pregnancy, still feeling more movements (my favorite part), getting to May when I can get things really ready for this baby and get my FMLA stuff started (for work). Also, I'm really excited to start going over names - we haven't really done that yet, and I'm excited to get a good list going.

My next ultrasound appointment to check my placenta placement (it's a tad close to my c-section scar so they need to make sure it's moving away from it).

My Glucose test is coming up at my next appointment. I actually just look forward to getting that one done and over with.

Ordering the last little things we need (binkies, eating/sleeping log, newborn memory book, a pump, new bottles, etc.)
