Jingle Bell Bubble Rave

Tonight we had such a fun experience. We normally save Friday nights for Family Movie Night, but luckily our kids are willing to put off the movie night when a fun event comes up. 

A couple weeks ago I had seen signs in our neighborhood about this Jingle Bell Bubble Rave and that it was a family fun event and thought it sounded like fun. So we looked it up (it was very underground...it was hard to find too many details about it) and got tickets.

We got there a tad late, I figured it would be be okay because everything seems to start late, but found out we missed a few fun things. They offered face painting, photo booth, and bracelet making, but we missed that. Cara and Lucy did end up getting some temporary tattoos and, luckily, there was LOTS of dancing and LOTS of snacking (cotton candy, popcorn, hot cocoa). The dancing room had blown up silver balloons to throw around and a bounce house. 

Eventually some lady came out to "perform" (turns out this was a church sponsored event) and Cara even went on stage to dance around with other kids. They ended up having bubbles come out then and the kids went wild. For a Friday night, it wasn't a super busy night, but it was still so much fun for the kids. If we do it again, we'll get there earlier to do more activities (but I'm not sure if it'll be a repeat). After the performance things started to shut down so we let the kids color for a minute before we left (and grabbed papers to take home). 

I will say the best part is the kids have fallen asleep super fast tonight! I'm so glad they enjoyed this night!
